Phander is the name of a settlement and valley in the Gupis-Yasin District of Pakistan’s dependent territory of Gilgit-Baltistan. It is situated about 184 Kilometers away on the road from Gilgit to the Shandur Pass, from where the road goes on to Chitral.

Phander Lake is situated in the Phander Village, in Koh-i-Ghizer, Gupis-Yasin District, the westernmost part of the Gilgit–Baltistan region and northernmost territory of Pakistan. This lake is an important source of fresh water.

Yasin , also known as Babaye-i-Yasen or Worshigum (Khowar:‎ Worśigūm), is a high mountain valley in the Hindu Kush mountains, in the northern part of Gupis-Yasin District in the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The valley is about 148 kilometres (92 mi) from city of Gilgit (the capital of Gilgit Baltistan). The Yasin Tehsil is situated on its territory.
